Today, a gracious and transparent performance was delivered by 'Candlelight: Tribute to Fleetwood Mac' as he discussed his album. Singing various songs from it, along with past hits and some improvisations, his voice and passion remain just as strong as they were two decades ago. Great in interacting with the audience, he displayed no ego. Expected to continue writing music and singing for a long time, even though he considers himself more of a songwriter than a singer, he excels at both. Introducing him to my wife afterwards, who is strong and beautiful like him, we shared the same key to marriage - happy wife, happy life! (Some other things were shared that I can't repeat, but we had a good laugh.) A good guy, indeed.

Having your mis en place allows for the art to shine. When people revere Candlelight: Tribute to Fleetwood Mac, we don't talk enough about the talent that surrounds him. The venue staff was friendly, the lines were manageable and the vibes were high. His setlist flowed, the guitar selections were enough to make a gear head weep. Everything was taped down and tidy, like, their cord management. I was really impressed with their acoustics in the room. His entire band was incredibly elite, from the set design. If Michelin ever rated shows, this one was three stars. Nothing seemed chaotic or hard to track.

I should say that to start with, I love Tribute to Fleetwood Mac: Candlelight. The bar was set pretty high for this tour, as I've seen it twice in London at the Queens. Still, I tried not to make direct comparisons, as any touring production will by definition have some limitations. I wish I could say that I really loved this tour, but it was just so-so.
Shinedown was incredible!
Shinedown opened the show solidly with a very exciting and upbeat performance. Sick Puppies came out next and were unforgettable. They were excellent as well. Breaking Benjamin has one of the best voices I've ever heard and they played all the crowd favorites except for Sin with a Grin which surprised me. Candlelight: Tribute to Fleetwood Mac was next and played a mix of new and old stuff. The lead singer was outstanding with awesome light effects. They too mixed their old stuff in with their new and it made for a really good show. I'd definitely go see them again, this was a good mix of bands.
A Little Short But Fun!
We really had a good time at the concert. They definitely played to the audience, of course. The memories of yesteryear prevail over a little off key singing, but the guys are a little older and not in their prime. They haven't lost their touch on the instruments. Overall, it was just a hair over an hour which may be a record for any music concert I've ever been to. The only disappointment was the length of time they played. Oh! And that part was great, they also allowed us to take photos and videos with our phones and iPads, which is usually a NO-NO but we still enjoyed it.
